And then there was STRESS; have you ever heard someone say that they “thrive
under pressure?” Maybe this statement even hits home in your court and possibly
it could be true. Many people work well under the gun and some may even produce
fabulous results. However, do you know that nervous tension can create weight
gain in the meantime? It’s true! While stress is a fact of life for most of us,
there are ways to tackle this dirty little word that produce big results.
Let’s look at some of the ways that stress attacks your aspirations. Let’s delve
into some of the events that take place in your life that could be addressed in
a different manner as to behoove your goals; because at the end your day you are
trying to make a difference in your life and paying attention to small details
can add up to huge payoffs while living a more relaxed lifestyle.
Unfortunately, many of us have created the habit of reaching for food as a
comfort tool when strains find their way into our lives. When we feel hassled
many of us deal with our worrisome feelings by opening the pantry door, pulling
out our comfort food and wolfing it down to make us feel better and alleviate
our concerns. Does it work? Nope! Does it add calories to your day? Yep! Is it
sabotaging your goals? Absolutely! Let’s see what action we can take to deal
with stress on a daily basis.
|
Workout~plain and simple, it’s the healthiest way to deal with the darn stuff.
Eat clean~eating well equates to living well and feeling good; all of which
decrease stress.
Take action~taking 100% responsibility for you allows you to create the life you
love.
Alone time~making time each day just for you is essential to be able to function
calmly.
Breathe~take nice deep breathes to quiet down your inner pace.
Journal~the power of the pen is invaluable in its ability to create tranquility.
Siesta~a twenty minute doze can do wonders for the composed way in which you
rise.
Be aware that very often stress can be self-induced, so be sure to delve into
your own decision making and question whether your actions or non-actions could
be adjusted to seek a harmonious life.
